Lindsay Lohan Maintains Mean Girl Status
It seems that Lindsay Lohan is becoming relevant again in entertainment news. The Mean Girls star gave up her lavish life in New York where she was born and raised to live in Dubai, the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates. Still appearing to be living a very lavish life, we have witnessed her dancing off-beat at her beach house in Mykonos, and even more recently than that, we have seen her attempt to kidnap homeless refugee children off the streets in Moscow.
On September 29, 2018, Lohan had broadcast an Instagram Live story where she was shown talking to a Syrian refugee family living on the streets in Moscow. “You should not have them [your sons] on the floor, you should be a hard-working woman,” Lohan was seen saying in a Middle Eastern accent. She continues on to ask the children, “You want to come with me. Do you want to stay in a hotel tonight and watch movies on a TV or a computer?”
The mother of these children insist that they are fine and can take care of themselves, not even speaking back to the Mean Girls star for most of the video. The family initially tried to walk away from Lohan during her spiel. However, Lohan could obviously not take no for an answer because she said, “I won’t leave until I take you. Now I know who you are. Do not [mess] with me”
She attempted to follow the mother and her three sons, but the mother can be heard repeating “nyet,” the Russian word for “no,” throughout the video. At one point, Lohan even tried to grab one of the boys’ hands when they failed to pay attention to her pleas. This did not sit right with the mother because she immediately yells at Lohan, and it seemed like the refugee mother slapped her in the face as well. Lohan was in complete shock as if the mother was in the wrong.
Lohan received a slew of backlash from her viewers of the live feed, and hundreds of social media users for “attempting to kidnap” this poor family’s children. Hopefully she has learned her lesson and will stick to being a Mean Girl only on the big screen.
