The Wilson College soccer team completed their 2013 season with an overall record of 6-11, the best record they have posted in the last five seasons.  The team ended their season with a two game win streak and will continue to use this positive momentum to build for next season.

The team recorded nonconference wins against Cedar Crest College, Christendom College, Valley Forge Christian College, and Trinity University.  Additionally, the Phoenix snatched two NEAC wins against the College of St. Elizabeth and Gallaudet University.  Overall the team totaled 30 goals for the season.

Senior Courtney Bernecker achieved many individual accomplishments throughout the season.  She became the new leader in career goals scored at Wilson when she scored her 32nd career goal against Trinity University.  Bernecker surpassed Mary Miller ’08 in the record book, who tallied 31 goals while at Wilson.  Along with breaking the career-goals record, she also broke the career-points record scored at Wilson College.

In addition, Bernecker was selected as a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference.  She joins a total of 33 student-athletes of Wilson College who have been recognized on an All-Conference team.  Bernecker led her team in scoring with an overall tally of 12 goals, with three against conference opponents.
