When expressing love and support is more important now as it has ever been, Switchfoot and Lifehouse touring together have brought some peace to these tragic times. On Tuesday, August 15, the two bands performed alongside solo artist Brynn Elliott as a part of their “Looking for Summer” tour at Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, Md.

Brynn Elliott opened the show with confidence and got the audience on their feet. Originally from Atlanta, Ga., she brought her vocal and guitar talent alongside a backup band to prove that, even though she is still going to college, she is not letting her busy schedule get in the way of her touring and performing. Switchfoot guitarist, Drew Shirley, came out to help Elliott during one of her songs, establishing just how much of a connection she has made to her fellow tour mates.

Switchfoot followed Elliott in what can only be described as a “light the way” performance. Words cannot do justice to how much the band made everyone in the audience feel at home and give them a sense of hope despite the dark times in the world today. As their famous single “Meant to Live” distinctly says, “We want more than this world’s got to offer,” which can distinctly describe what the band puts in each performance. Or, to put it another way, in their song “Live it Well,” the band preaches, “Life is short, I wanna live it well,” which defines not only a belief of theirs, but one we should all consider.

Lifehouse concluded the show by performing an array of hits from those that every radio listener should know to those that only the most dedicated fans could sing along with. Like Elliott did by bringing Shirley out during her set, Lifehouse and Switchfoot showed just how tight of a bond they have developed as Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade came out to perform Switchfoot’s “Dare You to Move” with Switchfoot, and Switchfoot lead singer Jon Foreman coming out to sing Lifehouse’s “Flight” with Lifehouse. Each of the lead singers were specifically brought out for these two songs considering a few months ago each covered their touring-counterpart’s songs as part of promo for the tour, which can be found below:
