Sullenberger Selected as NEAC Softball Co-Player of the Week

Kayla Sullenberger has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) co-player of the week for the tenure ending Sunday, April 27.

Sullenberger had an all-star week both in the batter’s box and the pitching circle. At home plate she tallied 12 runs batted in and hit a grand slam in each of her team’s wins over the College of Saint Elizabeth, taking place on Wednesday, April 23. She also pitched a lights out game in game one against Saint Elizabeth, throwing a one hitter and earning a shutout as Wilson won 13-0.

On April 26, in game one against conference foe Gallaudet University, Sullenberger slammed a 2 RBI hit in her only at bat, contributing to her team’s 9-2 victory over Gallaudet. She currently ranks third in the conference in RBIs and fourth in the conference in home runs.

Preceding the NEAC playoff tournament this upcoming weekend, Sullenberger maintains a .414 batting average and leads her team in RBIs with 33.
